While Christmas in my lonely household of one will look a little different this year, it doesn’t stop me putting together a little Christmas Wishlist of stocking fillers and not-so-stocking fillers I might get for myself this year.

I remember a motivational training course I was on almost 10 years ago. The instructor said you were more likely to achieve what you wrote down than what you didn’t. Maybe it’s my poor memory that’s been letting me down with getting the things I think about- so by putting together this written down Christmas Wishlist I might remember to put them in my shopping basket without breaking the bank!

Here’s 8 Crafty things (I can’t believe I thought of that many!) I’d love under the tree this year- and you might too!

#1 – Yarn

Of course it had to be yarn. But specifically I’ve had my eye on making the Giverny skirt and Calluna sweater from my beloved Pom Pom magazine, which unfortunately is ending its long run in January.

The yarn is from Mominoki– a Japanese dyer based out of Germany. These two projects are made with a beautifully delicate blend of mohair and sock yarn- the skirt especially, marls blue and beige together to create a gorgeous purple-y effect that is to die for.

These two projects use :

Mominoki Yarn Sock Happy in Chai (7 skeins) Mominoki Yarn Silk Mohair in Muscat Bleu (6 skeins) and Benifuji (2 skeins)

Now that’s a lot of gorgeous yarn!

#2 – Cricut Infusible Ink Markers

Among designing T-shirts- which I love doing with my Cricut cutter, I’m also branching out into heat transfers onto mugs. These pens would give me unlimited colour possibilities and my head is already busy designing away… if it’s not crochet designs, it’s Cricut-things, I swear!

#3 – Thread & Maple Needle Organizer

My needles are EVERYWHERE, and while I’ve done my best to keep them all herded to their respective cases- I’ll be honest, the current Chiaogoo case I have just doesn’t cut it (for my mini needles at least- they keep falling out and getting disorganised so I end up with a pouch of random needles).

This is not only gorgeous but SO practical. I’d go for a Jumbo in Whiskey because that smooth brown colour is just calling to me. The organisers would have to include the Complete set for Chiaogoo inserts and the cable organiser pages. Can’t wait until they release a page for crochet hooks too!

#4 – Muud “Evita” Bag XL

I’m always knitting in my living room. Although I have the dedicated “Studio 47” (as my best friend calls it) upstairs, all my stuff is still lying around by the sofa. I love watching TV and exercising my fingers.

To keep everything in one place, this bag would be perfect to keep my “most used” tools close by. Again, the light brown calls to me…

#5 – Chiaogoo Spin Needles

You might be wondering why on Earth I need another set of needles- but since having my metal needles confiscated in Estonia while trying to get them through the airport security and more and more work travel, it’s great to have wooden needles I can get through with no hassle.

This set I’ll probably build up needle by needle as I need for a project I plan on taking with me, so not sure it’s essential, but useful regardless!

#6 – Geo-metry DK Bag Strap & Inside Bag

Since my amazing friend Michelle got me the most wonderful bag from Geo-metry DK, I have been dying for a longer bag strap for it so I can go completely hands-free on my travels – and the inside bag too, to avoid having my smaller things pop out unexpectedly (like my phone).

My bag is red but I think a strap in any colour would pop against this amazing design.

#7 – Colour Wheel Enamel Key Chain

An adorable way of keeping track of colours, for sure! I always struggle to figure out which of my yarns will go together and I think clipping this on my project bag would help me out.

#8 – Leather Needle Case

A small one, I swear! I keep throwing my needles into my suitcase and “hoping” they arrive wherever I do, and don’t fall out en route.

This little pouch would give me somewhere safe to keep my pins!

I best start saving! There’s too many things I don’t want to miss out on this year! I’m hoping you’ve found something you love too on this list, so we can be “matchy matchy” together!
