Has time gone crazy for everyone or is it just me? It seems I’ve blinked and we’re already through a quarter of 2021!

My last post was at the end of February, when I’d just managed to wrap up my As If Tee. I was desperate to finish it so that I could cast on my Knit Fit Dress by Paige Parkin using the Hyde Advent Calendar by Mad Scientist Yarns. Unfortunately, work took priority, and having been told I’d be working away for a month, I opted for a project that wouldn’t require my ball winder and swift…

How awesome does Molly look in her Romper?

I cast on the Jessie Maed Ripple Buttshorts with the intention of modifying them into a romper- as inspired by the gorgeous Molly Mae. It’s the ultimate test for me as I’m modifying it to my exact measurements and my butt is an L and my boobs are an M (because I want the negative ease!)

I’m working with the most gorgeous lilac coloured yarn from West Yorkshire Spinners, so I know this baby is going to be WARM when it’s finished- so the perfect transitional piece for me to rock at home.

Our office reopens at the end of March and I refuse to go back until I’ve been to see a hairdresser. I don’t know where my fringe is anymore, and haven’t got the guts to cut it back in myself… that and my roots look like they’re a normal part of my hair… I really need sorting out.

I’ve had a few big things happen during my radio silence, but nothing I can announce yet. Just know that it involves a lot of graft behind the scenes and 8:30 bedtimes have now become a normal part of my routine! I live for the weekends now, and my weekend make is the Spicy Diamond Blanket by Haak Maar Raak which I’m again using the Hyde Advent by Mad Scientist Yarns for. I love the randomness of the whole palette and I’m itching to get started on the dress. But for now, within the confines of my hotel room: one colour is just easier…
