May 19th is the date I turn 30. While I had huge plans to visit all 50 States before I hit my thirties, Covid threw a spanner in the works and I’ve spent most of my time for the last year and a bit on the sofa in my dressing gown shopping online. So seems fitting I’ve put together a 30th Birthday Wishlist for you to peruse…

I mean… if anyone wants to buy me this whole list then I am HERE FOR IT. I usually find it really hard to give people lists (they’re honestly not me, but for some reason 30 seems to be the year for it!)

#1 – Cricut Joy

I’ve been eyeing up one of these for some time now. I have so many ideas of things to make and print and stick and this little magic cutter would make those design dreams come true.

Pick up a Cricut here.

#2 – Rose Gold Necklace

I’m a big believer that big birthdays deserve jewellery. I received a diamond ring for my 21st (that my fat fingers have since outgrown) and my most precious necklace has become so sentimental since my grandmothers’ death that I daren’t put it on. So maybe this could be a good placeholder around my neck?

Check out Nikola’s store here.

#3 – Alexandrite Promise Ring

Apparently, Alexandrite is more precious than a diamond. While I don’t need a real one, I would like a real promise. Rings don’t have to mean engagement and having someone who values me enough to promise they’ll be around forever would be the best 30th birthday gift. Plus, if diamonds are forever, does Alexandrite surpass the concept of time?

Find my dream promise here.

#4 – Dyson Airwrap

One of the scariest things for me that comes with growing old, is my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome getting progressively worse and stopping me from leading a normal life. Already I find my hairdryer too heavy and hope that something like this would help me continue my independence.

Get the Airwrap here.

#5 – Joji & Co Leather Project Bag

Because knitting and crochet are a huge part of my life and having something fancy to show off my passion would be super sweet.

Check out Joji’s awesome selection of bags here.

#6 – Alaskan Cruise

I’m hoping one day I’ll be able to tick off the last 4 US States on my bucket list and sealing the deal with a cruise around the Alaskan seas would be the icing on the cake.

#7 – Oodie

Dressing gowns and PJs have been my official uniform for 2020 and 2021 so far. I think I need to level up with this amazing hoodie-cum-blanket and the peach tie-dye or bunny-print is calling to me. I’d never get dressed…

Get an Oodie here.

#8 – Wire Crochet Jewellery Book

I find inspiration everywhere and find uses for the most obscure things. I’d love to be able to put my crochet skills to good use and whip myself up some accessories and this book by Yael Falk looks like a good place to start.

Grab a copy here.

#9 – Yarn

Of course, yarn had to be on this list! Have you seen my list of favourite UK dyers? Check it out here.

Regardless of what happens this year: I’m grateful for my health, my friends, and my family. And isn’t 31 the new 30 anyway?
